Youby Gene Arnold

Youby Gene Arnold age 80, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Arnold was a native of Thomaston but had made his home in Milledgeville since 1977. He was graduated from R.E. Lee High School in Thomaston and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. He worked for Moores Funeral Home & Crematory, Vinning Ivy Hill Funeral Home and Bridges Funeral Home for many years. Mr. Arnold was a member of the Milledgeville Lions Club for over 20 years, he served as chairman of the eye glass committee and three terms as President. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Willie Frank Arnold, Sr. and Maude Buttrum Arnold, three brothers Willie Frank Arnold, Jr., James Edward Arnold, Walter D. Arnold and a sister Frances Ruth Arnold. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Davis Arnold, a son Randall Eugene Arnold both of Milledgeville, two daughters Linda Darlene Hill of Panama City, FL and Lisa Marlene Arnold of Thomaston, a step-daughter Vicki Bilderback of Gordon, a sister Carolyn Gill of Rock, GA, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
