Mr. Ron Miller, 71 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Miller was born April 14, 1946 to the late Gordon Miller & Jewel Lewis Miller.  He was a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Sholto Lodge 237 F&AM.  Mr. Miller served as the Coroner of Brooks County for 20 years and was owner of Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home for 29 years, from 1983 to 2012.  He was also a member of the GFDA, NFDA, and the Georgia Coroners Association.

Survivors include his wife, Marcie Miller of Quitman; two sons, Mike (Judy) Miller of Quitman, and Andy Miller of Quitman; two grandchildren, Reid Miller of Kennesaw, GA., and Brooke Miller of Quitman; sister, Judy (David) Beasley of Quitman; two nephews, Nick Beasley of Quitman, and Mark Beasley of Quitman; two great nephews, Grady Beasley and Conner Beasley.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Wills, and Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating.  The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
