February 2010 As a new decade emerges, so does another new and exciting year of The Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia. Because of each of you and the commitment you have made, this organization is pleased and proud to be entering its 60th year of existence. Our profession faces new challenges everyday and this Academy strives daily to stay on the cutting edge in keeping you informed. This year’s Academy Clinic will be no different. Pierce Chemicals is making every effort afforded to them in providing us with up-to-the-minute technological advances and putting before us some of the most renowned and educated speakers available. Through these speakers, it is our sincere desire that you leave these meetings informed about the changes facing our industry and who knows, maybe an even better embalmer. So please mark your calendars now for April 12-14 at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center and the Ramada Convention Complex in Forsyth. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. You may pre-register for this year’s clinic and pay your yearly membership dues by calling Melissa Pelfrey 770-445-3180. Timely payments of our membership dues are vital to the well-being of the success of The Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia.
Once again, it is through strong membership commitments that enable this organization’s stability and it is through members like you that we are able to offer these clinics yearly. Also, please take a moment to thank Pierce Chemicals for their continued support and dedication to us. It is because of their relentless desire that we become better educated professionals that they provide our speakers to us at no charge. April is quickly approaching so pre-register now. Hope to see each of you there.
Respectfully, Richard N. Stanley, III 2009-2010 AGEG President 478-272-5855
